The relaxed social atmosphere allows you the opportunity to meet business leaders, mingle among community members and network to forge powerful partnerships for yourself and your company.

Based on the Scandinavian Days survey information collected, we are inviting anyone who would like to learn more about the planning process and volunteer opportunities to attend this informational and organizational open house to begin preparations for our 2023 community festival.

Story City businesses are encouraged to stay open until 6:00 PM on the second Thursday of the month. The theme for January's Extended Hours event is "Baby it's Cold Outside." Wear what keeps you warm and enjoy warm beverages at participating businesses.

The Design Committee shapes the image of Story City via public art, beautification, way-finding, partnership appreciation and historic preservation.

You're invited to the return of our annual joint event to recap a successful year for both the GCC and EDC...and to look forward to the next! There will be entertainment throughout the evening with special guests and fun surprises along the way. Light snacks, cash bar, all are welcome.

The Promotion Committee promotes Story City as a place of commerce, culture and community life for residents and visitors alike.

The Organization Committee builds strong, broad-based public and private support for the commercial district and revitalization initiative. The Economic Vitality Committee identifies opportunities for the commercial district, finds new uses for vacant buildings and stimulates investment in property.
